Jaime holds many skills, some of which include her experience from theatre, ranging from serving as production manager, stage manager, or front of house manager for various productions; adjudicator for the Secondary Schools Drama Association, and representing Trinidad and Tobago at the CARA International Theatre Festival. She has also served as a Carnival adjudicator for over 15 years; and has experience in producing mas. Most recently, she was a member of the committee appointed to review the adjudication criteria for the different competitions under the purview of the NCC, as well as served on the committee which addresses appeals on the results.
Ms. Bagoo’s career has been steeped in the culture and creative industries. Her passionate advocacy for culture and local heritage has seen her gain Post Graduate qualifications in Arts and Cultural Enterprise Management as well as Cultural Heritage management from UWI, certification in Intellectual Property-focusing on traditional knowledge and traditional cultural expressions from WIPO, and is currently in the process of launching her IP consultancy to assist tradition bearers in adapting to the digitized world.
